Lawyers from Bond Turner welcomed a team from North West Cancer Research to their Liverpool office for training on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The sessions were bespoke, training staff on the signs and symptoms of the disease, and how to give extra care to people they represent who are affected by it.

Talks and Training

The charity also gave talks on the importance of early detection, how to self-check, particular risk factors, and ways to support breast health.

The aim was to shine a light on breast cancer for anyone within the workforce and the wider community, and to show support for a disease that is diagnosed more than 160 times a day in the UK.

It was also part of Bond Turner’s wider commitment to colleagues’ wellbeing, making sure every member of staff can rest assured that they’re surrounded by people who are there to support each other in times of struggle.

The day fell on National Wear It Pink Day 2026, last Friday, 23rd October, and staff members shared stories, cakes, and coffees while learning crucial information about the disease.

They were then encouraged to share what they learnt with families and friends, in a combined effort to remove the stigma around talking about cancer.

What They Said

Bond Turner Director Rachael Wong said:

We were delighted to welcome North West Cancer Research to our Liverpool office for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Helping colleagues recognise the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, ask questions and understand how to support those affected is so important.

Today’s advice and demonstrations highlighted the vital work they do through research, awareness, and education to make a real difference across our region. We’re proud to support such an important cause.

A spokesperson for North West Cancer Research said:

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an important opportunity to bring people together, raise awareness and encourage conversations.

Today, we delivered talks, demonstrated how to check for lumps and shared information we hope people will never need, but that could make a real difference if they do.

Talking about breast cancer can sometimes feel difficult, but there is no right or wrong way to start the conversation. What matters is creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and learning from one another.

That’s exactly what Bond Turner has helped to create. We’re incredibly grateful for its support and for the opportunity to reach more people with a message that could ultimately save lives.

More Events Planned

Bond Turner has a long-standing partnership with North West Cancer Research, and this is just one of many events put on between the two organisations, with further events planned for the rest of 2026.

The next one kicks off on 26th November, with sessions that focus on men’s health, giving talks on prostate, testicular and male breast cancer.

Those looking for further information should visit Breast Cancer Now and North West Cancer Research.
