Following a hugely successful three-night event last year, the market has been extended to eight nights for 2026, running daily from 4pm to 9pm, Friday 23 October to Friday 30 October.
Around 35 stalls will be open each evening, featuring local independent traders offering a fantastic selection of products, including delicious treats, handmade arts and crafts, bespoke jewellery, unique gifts and much more.
The market is free to enter and access is via the Strand entrance (an accessible entrance is also available at the Brunswick Street side).
There is still limited availability for traders who would like to exhibit at the Cunard Building market - simply email liverpoolmarkets@liverpool.gov.uk to register your interest.
Cunard Building is on the River of Light trail and will host an artwork titled Coloured Peonies.
Cunard Building tours
Visitors can also book a behind-the-scenes tour of Cunard Building during River of Light, giving people the chance to explore the hidden history of the Grade II* listed building, including the luggage room and first-class safe.

About River of Light
River of Light is now in its ninth year and runs from 23 October - 1 November between 5pm and 9pm.
This year, the theme of the 13 artwork trail is Together, with all installations focusing on how light brings people closer in a joyful way. For more information visit https://www.visitliverpool.com/river-of-light-2026/.
Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, Councillor Harry Doyle, said:
“River of Light is a highlight of our cultural calendar and one the whole family can enjoy.
“Following a successful debut last year, for 2026 we have extended the market, giving people the opportunity to buy from independent traders and perhaps purchase an early Christmas present.
“In addition to this, you can also combine a visit with a behind the scenes tour of Cunard Building, to learn more about the fascinating history of one of the world-famous Three Graces.
“By timing the market and the tours with the festival, we’re creating an even richer visitor experience that combines Liverpool’s history, culture, and creativity. It gives people the chance to immerse themselves in the heritage that has helped shape Liverpool’s internationally recognised waterfront.”
